The MR4 2025 Summer Release brings major advancements in motion data quality, workflow efficiency, and visual analysis. Headlining this release are Intelligent Drift Stabilization for Motion—our fastest and most advanced modeling optimization yet—and the Translation Toolbox, which generates linear motion signals such as displacement, velocity, and distance directly from IMU or model-based data. Other key enhancements include 3-sensor gait testing, Unity playback integration, refined biofeedback visuals, and advanced analysis parameters, all aimed at delivering cleaner data, faster workflows, and more insightful feedback.

Intelligent Drift Stabilization for Motion

Our most powerful enhancement this release!

  • Real-time drift stabilization for all body segments
  • Auto-optimization of drift correction using smart acceleration-based algorithms and advanced sensor fusion logic
  • No reference poses required—drift-free measurements are easier than ever
  • Up to 5× faster processing—a 20+ minute recording processes in under 3 seconds
Say goodbye to tedious manual operations and hello to smooth, reliable motion data.

Translation Toolbox for Linear Motion Analysis

The Translation Toolbox enables users to generate linear motion signals—such as displacement, velocity, distance, and speed—directly from IMU or model-based data.

Choose from three methods:

  • Segment Linear Motion – Calculate horizontal and vertical movement of a single segment using strapdown integration.
  • Foot-Based Center of Mass Motion – Estimate horizontal displacement and related parameters from one or both foot-mounted sensors.
  • Model-Based Center of Mass Motion – Generate horizontal and vertical motion signals using forward kinematics from the biomechanical model.

Built-in correction options help minimize drift, and the intuitive interface makes it easy to define intervals, apply constraints, and process signals with just a few clicks.

Loading Rate Parameters with Selectable Units

Easily analyze Average and Instantaneous Loading Rates with new options to display values in kN/s or BW/s. Add them directly into the gait parameter table to support injury risk analysis and ground reaction profiling.

Enhanced UX for Powers Running Assessment

The Powers Running Assessment is now faster and easier to use with automated scoring, clearer visuals, and streamlined review.

  • Automated Parameters – Knee Forward of Toe and Foot Pronation scored automatically.
  • Updated Visuals – Refined angle definitions and drawings for improved clarity.
  • Simplified Review – Cross Over Sign scored automatically, with manual override if needed.
  • Context Guidance – Markerless users get correction prompts for Pelvic Tilt at Toe Off.

These updates reduce manual input, cut errors, and make clinical review more intuitive.

Unified Import/Export for Applications, Protocols & Reports

Major UX improvements streamline the entire workflow for transferring and sharing protocol-based content:

  • Import and export complete Applications
  • Protocol imports now automatically include linked Report Templates
  • Cross-application protocol sharing is now unrestricted

These enhancements significantly reduce setup time and improve collaboration across systems and teams.
