EMG Buyer’s Guide: Which Noraxon System is Right for You?

Ultium EMG vs Core EMG

Electromyography (EMG) measures the muscle response or electrical activity by way of a nerve’s stimulation of the muscle. In particular, Surface EMG signals are recorded by non-invasive electrodes on the surface of the skin above the muscle to assess muscle function and understand how well the brain and musculoskeletal system are coordinated. Surface EMG is an important part of physiology and biomechanics research and has also been developed as a useful evaluation tool for rehabilitation, sports performance, and ergonomics. Determining the most appropriate system for your individual requirements can be challenging, so it is important to carefully consider your unique needs when choosing between the Core or Ultium EMG systems.
