3D Inertial Motion Capture System
The myoMOTION System uses an array of inertial measurement units (IMUs) to measure anatomical joint angles, orientation angles, and linear acceleration in natural and lab-based environments. Data and subject motion are displayed in real-time with graphs and a skeletal avatar. Generate customized reports or access quaternions and raw sensor data (accelerometer, gyroscopes, & magnetometers). Synchronize with EMG, pressure, force, video and third party devices within the myoRESEARCH software platform.
The Calibration Adjustment Tool can be used to adjust or correct the static calibration performed with the myoMOTION sensors by allowing the user to directly measure the subject’s posture and apply that posture to the myoMOTION skeleton. The system also automatically measures and adjusts the subject’s bone lengths. This tool offers the ability to achieve ISB-compliant modeling with an inertial motion capture system and is exclusive to Noraxon.
Using accelerometer-based techniques to correct course misalignments, functional calibration routines are driven by an integrated software wizard to help mitigate magnetic distortion. There are three calibration routines built into the software to provide suitable methods for any given environment.
Flash memory chips built in to each sensor store any data packets that cannot be sent to the receiver due to transmission interference or being out of range. Quickly recover stored data and fill in the gaps for multiple recordings at a time using the offline data recovery tool.
