Noraxon Appoints Zach Scarano as President and CEO

We’re excited to announce that Zach Scarano has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Noraxon, effective October 1, 2026.

Zach succeeds Mikko Niskanen, who has served as CEO since 2017. Mikko will continue with Noraxon as a member of the Board of Directors and will serve as Senior Advisor through the fourth quarter of 2026 to support the transition.

For many in the Noraxon community, Zach needs little introduction. Customers, partners, and distributors around the world have worked with him in many different capacities, giving him a broad perspective on both Noraxon technology and the people who use it.

Zach joined Noraxon in March 2014 as a Biomedical Applications Engineer. With a background in biomedical engineering, he has built his career across applications, sales, product management, software leadership, and senior management. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Software Development & Operations.

Over more than 12 years, Zach has worked closely with nearly every part of the organization while staying connected to customers’ needs. From helping customers apply Noraxon systems in the field to guiding product and software development, his experience has shaped an approach grounded in understanding real-world challenges and turning ideas into practical solutions.

His appointment follows a planned succession process and received unanimous approval from Noraxon’s Board of Directors.

Under Zach’s leadership, Noraxon will continue developing technology that helps researchers, clinicians, and human movement professionals make informed decisions through objective measurement and analysis. His priorities include encouraging innovation across the organization, strengthening collaboration, and building the foundation for sustainable growth.
