Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) is a technique that can be used to analyze a variety of biomechanical time series data including EMG, kinematic and data sets. This course will focus on teaching the concepts underpinning SPM, how to apply them, and how to avoid common pitfalls of SPM and applied statistics in general.
NOTE – a working proficiency in Matlab or access to data processing is assumed for course attendees as running SPM analyses requires use of Matlab or Python. The teaching objective of this course will focus on SPM fundamentals and applications not programming specifics.
