Pressure Treadmills

Gaitway 3D Pressure/Force Treadmill

The Gaitway 3D treadmill is the first in the industry to combine 3D force and pressure metrics on a single belt treadmill. All measurement variables are easily synced and acquired through the easy to use data acquisition software - myoRESEARCH 3. This integration provides the sensitivity needed to fully understand loading mechanics such as magnitude, rate, and pressure distribution during gait.

PhysTread Pressure Treadmill

The PhysTread treadmills are unique in that they are the only capacitive pressure treadmills in the world. With thousands of pre-calibrated capacitive sensors built into the treadmill’s deck, the PhysTread is extremely accurate and user-friendly.

The analysis of force and pressure distribution during standing, walking, and running can be completed in less than 30 seconds. All pressure, spatial, and temporal parameters are compared in an easy-to-read report that also provides side-by-side comparisons. Additionally, with the optional “safety arch,” the PhysTread is the perfect solution for rehabilitation, especially in a hospital setting.

Applications

Gait Analysis for PT/OT

Gait Analysis for PT/OT

Pressure Treadmills allow objectification of every step parameter, analysis of any area on the plantar surface and facilitates identification of gait abnormalities. History reporting and progress tracking are automated for even the most functional or dynamic movements without the need for cables that restrict the freedom of movement.

Sports Medicine/Running Health and Injury Prevention

Sports Medicine/Running Health and Injury Prevention

Measure impact forces and dynamic pressure distributions during running or any other sport-related activity. Program functions assess efficiency, run styles and balance, which can be added to screening and injury prevention programs while maintaining complete freedom of movement.

Fitting of Prosthesis and Orthotics

Fitting of Prosthesis and Orthotics

Note the continuous center of pressure and pressure point deviations, and how devices or shoe mechanics alter patient kinematics, justify adjustments or test orthotics, and aid in the perfection of prescriptions.

Integrated Biomechanics

Integrated Biomechanics

Add EMG and any other clinical biomechanical sensor (goniometer, accelerometer, inclinometer etc.), integrated 2D video recording or even 3D kinematic analysis to assist in the identification of motor pathologies and the connection to the kinematic chain. Perform in-depth analysis of gait timing and muscle amplitude, or curve characteristics as the software normalizes EMG traces automatically based on the force values and displays in real-time bilateral and unilateral gait reports.

Screening of Diabetics

Screening of Diabetics

The pressure treadmill locates peak pressure points, high force areas and measures the efficacy of unweighting. It can also be used to assist in retraining compensation patterns making it ideal for evidence-based occupational therapy practice.

Neuropathic Patient Analysis

Neuropathic Patient Analysis

The ability to note balance changes and critical directions of force makes pressure treadmills an ideal diagnostic tool for patients with any range of neurological disorders or deficits. An additional benefit is correlation of the highest pressure areas and loading responses.
