Theory and Practical Approach of SEMG in Various Orthopaedic and Sports Applications

Todd Shewman BA Kinesiology is the Research Director of Noraxon U.S.A. Inc., and associate member of ICCMO. Mr. Shewman has authored and co-authored research, informational articles, books and published a textbook on “Surface Electromyography in Temporomandibular Dysfunction”. His most recent Surface EMG publication is a module for the American Physical Therapy Association. He began treating patients as a Physical Therapy assistant in 1987, furthered his clinical experience with patient evaluation treatment after graduating from the University of Western Ontario and on-site consultation services for the evaluation and treatment of patients. He has extensive experience speaking to clinicians and researchers both nationally and internationally on topics incorporating various measurement technologies in dental, orthopedic, neurological, pain management, sports medicine, and work injury settings.
Dr. Konrad has been in the electromyography business for 20 years. He joined Noraxon's R&D Department in 1992, and thereafter became Technical Consultant of the Department in 1995. Dr. Konrad was appointed to Lead Software Designer in 2000. Dr. Konrad received both his Diploma and Doctorate degree of Sports Science from the German Sports University in Cologne, Germany. Dr. Konrad is responsible for software and application design and distributor technical support. He has written several articles and presented lectures and workshops related to EMG. |
