Build-In Screen Recorder and increased video frame rate – free update

Noraxon latest version of MyoResearch XP (Update Version 1.06.15 and higher) offers a simple and quick to operate function to store video-synchronized EMG and sensor recordings as a video file. The video file format is avi, which can be played by the Windows Media Player © or Powerpoint ©. This function allows you to sent measurement samples to colleagues, patients, insurance companies or use data samples within your lectures and presentations. Another new function is the option to increase by video frame rate to 50 Hz (PAL or 60 HZ (NTSC).

Any of your video synchronized data recordings can be stored captured and stored as a compressed video. The New “Store to Video” function can be found in the right tool bar of the Record Viewer:

A small menu dialog allows you to select any video compression codec, select an export file name, adjust the video frame rate and size.
The avi – formatted export file can directly be included within your Powerpoint presentation by the Insert / Objects / By File function (top menu).

You can also use the export video for other documentational purposes like reporting data to other doctors or researchers, insurance companies, colleagues or your class.

Another new option is to double the video sampling rate from 25 to 50 Hz (European PAL system) or 30 to 60 Hz (USA NTSC system). The benefit of the increased frame rate is that regular functional motions like squats, walking and lifting will be detected in sufficient time resolution. In case the video picture is used to define analysis periods, the increased video frame rate gives a more accurate result.

Both the “The Store to Video” and “Double Frame Rate” function is a free update for all registered MR-XP Master, Clinical Application and Basic Edition users.

The update works for all installation version higher than version 1.06.01.
