Noraxon Presents New Product at the American Physical Therapy
Association Combined Sections Meeting 2004
MyoSystem™ 1400A instrument for comprehensive muscle performance evaluations
SCOTTSDALE,
Ariz. (Feb. 3, 2004) – Noraxon U.S.A. Inc announced that it will introduce
its latest surface EMG (SEMG) instrument, the MyoSystem 1400A, at the American
Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting in Nashville,
Tenn., Feb. 4 to 8, 2004. MyoSystem 1400A is a fully functional fixed-cable
instrument that performs comprehensive muscle performance evaluations for clinicians,
biomechanical researchers and sports medicine professionals.
“We have created a powerful measurement tool into one reliable package
that monitors up to 16 channels of surface EMG and/or other analog signals,”
said Randy Raisanen, president of Noraxon. “The MyoSystem 1400A now has
a built in USB port that handles all data acquisition and greatly simplifies
interfacing to a PC, making it more convenient for the user to concentrate on
their analysis.”
The MyoSystem 1400A is available as a 4, 8, 12 or 16 channel unit. The instrument
offers Noraxon’s internationally patent-protected amplifier technology
to provide clean, consistent and reliable SEMG signals during any type of isometric
or dynamic exercise. Additionally, the instrument is fully compatible with an
extensive line of direct plug-in sensors and pre-amplifiers. This enables the
MyoSystem 1400A to measure a variety of other analog signals, such as kinetic
or kinematics variables in synchrony with EMG. MyoSystem 1400A is compliant
with IEC60601-1 and IEC60601-2-40 electromyography standards and CE approved.
Representatives from Noraxon U.S.A. Inc. will be available to give demonstrations
