Implications for the Evaluation and Treatment of Musculoskeletal Disorders
Presenter
Chris Powers, Ph.D., P.T. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biokinesiology & Physical Therapy, and Co-Director of the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory at USC. He also has joint appointments in the Departments of Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery within the Keck School of Medicine. During his doctoral work, Dr. Powers' research focused on identifying factors contributing to abnormal patellar tracking and patellofemoral joint dysfunction. His post-doctoral training emphasized the study of joint biomechanics using in-vitro modeling and finite element analysis. In addition, Dr. Powers also has expertise in the areas of gait biomechanics, kinesiological electromyography and kinematic MRI.
