Three studies by Sweden’s Royal Institute of technology validated the use of 3D kinematic sensors to effectively assess the ergonomics and safety of winter sports equipment.

Shruthi Balasubramanian
A graduate research project comparing the IMU and video motion capture systems. A correlation coefficient of .99 indicates a minute differences in the efficacy of the two systems for most applications.

A 5 sensor MyoMotion system was used to analyze the curvature of the spine in three dimensions.

Teufl Wolfgang.
A MyoMotion system was used to characterize knee valgus and an objective scoring system was produced to charachterize lower leg geometry.
