CLINICAL SEQUENCE ASSESSMENTS And SEMG FEEDBACKSurface Electromyography (SEMG) NORAXON has developed a new software module that addresses the needs of medical doctors and physiotherapists working in clinical settings. The new module contains protocols for the 5 main joint regions of the human body. Each protocol is operated within few minutes and automatically creates an analysis report with interpretation items and therapy proposal. This booklet shows how to get the most benefits of this new software module. |

Kinesiological Fine Wire EMGA practical introduction to fine wire EMG applications This free download is a short teaching manual about the usage of fine wire electrodes for EMG recordings. Written by Dr. Thorsten Rudroff “Kinesiological Fine Wire EMG” provides an overview of the basic knowledge needed to apply and perform meaningful fine wire EMG setups and focuses on practical questions and solutions. It is based on the first booklet “ABC of EMG” which introduces signal origin, detection and analysis techniques of kinesiological surface EMG recordings. |

SEMG Electrode Placement FigurePlacement of Surface EMG electrodes is an important component when attempting to record from specific EMG recording sites. The SEMG placement figures may be downloaded free of charge (requires a valid Email contact address) and provide a visual overview of common SEMG electrode placements. In addition to more common kinesiologic placements, additional placement sites are also provided for psychophysiologic studies. Any wide placement sites are considered "general" recording sites, and will record a great deal of muscle activity between the two recording electrodes and are thus, susceptible to a great deal of cross talk due to volume conduction. Composed by Todd Shewman BA Kin. and Dr. Peter Konrad. |

EMG-Meeting 2006 - Lecture AbstractsIn 20 lectures, 18 workgroups from Germany, Austria and Belgium presented aspects of their current EMG projects. The main idea of this meeting was to bring active EMG users in contact and facilitate communication between workgroups. This meeting booklet is educational freeware and can be downloaded and distributed between colleagues at any time. The variety of topics represents the wide use of kinesiologic EMG. The discussed topics range from basic considerations about processing techniques to applied use of EMG biofeedback in therapy regimes. We would like to thank all the speakers again for their efforts in creating additional abstracts in English and granting public access to their presentations. We would also express very special thanks to Prof. D. Rosenbaum from the orthopedic department of the University of Muenster for being our scientific chairman. |
