To aid clinicians in their practices, Noraxon offers the Therapist System that combines the MyoTrace 400 or the TeleMyo Clinical DTS system with MyoResearch software. MyoResearch's automated features provide instantaneous measurement and analysis of muscle function for today's fast-paced clinical environment.
The MyoTrace™ 400 is a portable - handheld measurement technology. It operates with 2 channels in standalone mode and 4 channels in PC-mode. A wide variety of compatible “plug-in” Noraxon sensors can be used with the MyoTrace 400. In addition to SEMG, force transducers, goniometers, inclinometers, accelerometers, hand dynamometers and foot switches can be used to objectively evaluate the functional status of the musculoskeletal system.
The TeleMyo™ Clinical Direct Transmission System (Clinical DTS) for EMG and other biomechanical sensors directly transmits data from the electrode or sensor site to a small desktop receiver. This direct transmission concept greatly simplifies the arrangement of EMG measurements by eliminating the need to arrange cable connections between the EMG electrodes and EMG amplifier. The small light weight probes are also beneficial for small subjects like children and small animals. The Clinical DTS EMG signal is processed using a 100ms RMS filter to give clinicians clean, easy-to-read signals.
The DTS system can operate any configuration between 2 and 8 channels (EMG is limited to 4 channels.) The default system is equipped with EMG preamplifiers but can be upgraded with other biomechanical sensors like goniometers, Inclinometers, and foot switches. A wireless synchronization system can be used to accurately synchronize the TeleMyo DTS System to other biomechanical devices.
The Therapist System is the clinician's solution to validating diagnosis, quantifying problems, and documenting results. Effective utilization of the Therapist System accelerates the rehabilitation process, improves functional outcomes and provides documentation for reimbursement purposes.

Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain
Chronic Musculoskeletal Pain (CMSP) usually occurs in the low back, neck, shoulder or knee region that lasts for more than a few months, or keeps reoccurring. It is generally not associated with any structural problem, such as a torn muscle or ligament; instead, CMSP is related to a change in the function of the musculoskeletal system.
